In Indonesia, there are so many conflict issues that have a religious background because there are many kinds of beliefs. Even in one religion, there are many different sects that everyone follows. Therefore, this tolerant education discourse is intended to be able to respond to differences well. Educational institutions are the hope of the emergence of student tolerance, by introducing and familiarizing tolerance attitudes will form a tolerant character in students. The research was conducted at SMKN 3 Malang. This: research uses a :qualitative approach with :the type of case :study. Data collection methods used are :observation, interviews and :documentation. Data analysis :techniques and checking the validity of the data and the data are presented in descriptive form. The result :of the research is that: the PAI teacher's strategy in intra-school activities in shaping student tolerance is through example, through habits, through creating a conducive atmosphere. The :strategy of :PAI teachers :in extra-school activities in shaping student tolerance is :through internalization strategies, namely by activities such as: commemorating Islamic Holidays, Pondok Romadhon, and Jum'ah Charity. The factors that influence the teacher's strategy in forming student tolerance attitudes at SMK Negeri 3 Malang are two factors: supporting factors include the cooperation between parents and teachers, the support from the principal, and the cooperation between PAI teachers and other study teachers.
