The development of the world community has entered an information society which is a continuation of modern society with characteristics that are rational, future-oriented, open, respecting time, creative, independent, and innovative, or can be called a global village, namely the marriage between the latest transmission technology. With computers gave birth to a new era, namely the information age, which can be said as the world of the year. The so-called information society is characterized by mastery of information technology, able to compete, willing, imaginative, able to turn challenges into opportunities, and master various methods of solving problems. Because, the problems that arise in this era of globalization are much more complex and require more diverse and accommodating responses, and by using these information technology tools to search, explore, analyze, and exchange information efficiently and effectively, students will quickly get ideas and experience from various circles and education or learning will be more developed and assisted in the learning process for each student. ABSTRAKPerkembangan masyarakat dunia telah memasuki masyarakat informasi yang merupakan kelanjutan dari masyarakat modern dengan ciri-cirinya yang bersifat rasional, berorientasi ke masa depan, terbuka, menghargai waktu, kreatif, mandiri, dan inovatif, atau bisa disebut dengan global village yaitu perkawinan antara teknologi transmisi mutakhir dengan computer melahirkan sebuah era baru yaitu era informasi, yang dapat dikatakan sebagai world of the year. Disebut masyarakat informasi ditandai dengan penguasaan teknologi informasi, mampu bersaing, serba ingin tahu, imajinatif, mampu mengubah tantangan menjadi peluang, dan menguasai berbagai metode dalam pemecahan masalah. Sebab, problem yang muncul di zaman globalisasi ini jauh lebih kompleks dan memerlukan respons yang lebih beragam dan akomodatif, dan dengan menggunakan perangkat teknologi informasi tersebut untuk mencari, mengeksplorasi, menganalisis, dan saling tukar informasi secara efisien dan efektif, siswa akan dengan cepat mendapatkan ide dan pengalaman dari berbagai kalangan dan Pendidikan atau pembelajaran akan lebih berkembang dan terbantu terhadap proses pembelajaran bagi setiap siswa.
