DPMD STRATEGIC PLANNING IN KARAWANG TOURISM DEVELOPMENT USING SWOT ANALYSIS (Case Study of Mekarbuana Village)

Mekarbuana Village Karawang which has varioustourist destinations including Curug Bandung, CurugCigeuntis, Mount Sanggabuana, Tourist Village,Bridge of Love, and Empang Sari. This village is alsoincluded in the Government's program as an EMASVillage (Enterpreneur, Independent, Fair andProsperous) in addition to tourism, there areabundant natural resources. This study categorizesthe data through a study of literature and informationfrom the local village head with a SWOT analysis.With this categorization, the strengths andweaknesses of Mekarbuana Village, opportunitiesand risks in terms of tourism development arediscussed. The results of the study show that thetourism development of Mekarbuana KarawangVillage has various tourism potentials and is rich innatural resources with the need to pay attention tothe assistance and empowerment of the localcommunity for the purpose of tourism development.Another thing that must be considered is publicfacilities and infrastructure such as road access,waste management, and cleanliness. The marketingaspect is very important by showing the variouspotentials it has
