The preliminary results of the field found the problem on civics lesson. Teachers dominate and less engaging students in the learning process, so that learning becomesless meaningful for students. Teachers do not associate learning materials with theproblems that exist in everyday life. Teachers are less motivated students in learningcivics, so that students are less enthusiastic in following the teaching civics. Studentsare only listening to the material, so the ability to remember material in less thanoptimal learning civics. Students are less active in learning, lack of focus, and easilybored in the following study. The solution of this problem by applying the model ofRole Playing. The research problems are how to improve the quality of learning civicsthrough the model of Role Playing in Class V. The purpose of the study describes theimprovement of student learning outcomes in learning civics. The conclusions of thisresearch is through the implementation of Role Playing models can improve the qualityof teaching civics in Class V.
