HUBUNGAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR DAN MINAT BACA DENGAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS KELAS IV

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji hubungan motivasi belajar dan minat baca dengan hasil belajar IPS Siswa Kelas IV SDN Gugus Arjuna Kecamatan Semarang Barat. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif jenis korelasi. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel jenuh yaitu sebanyak 113 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sebelum melakukan analisis data, dilakukan uji persyaratan berupa uji normalitas, linearitas, dan multikolinearitas. Teknik analisis data dengan analisis statistik deskriptif, korelasi sederhana, korelasi ganda, uji signifikansi, dan uji determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar IPS, nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,619 dan kontribusi sebesar 38,3%. (2) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara minat baca dengan hasil belajar IPS, nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,641 dan kontribusi sebesar 41,1%, (3) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar dan minat baca secara bersama-sama dengan hasil belajar IPS, nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,697 dan kontribusi sebesar 48,6%. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between learning motivation and reading interest on social studies outcomes for fourth grade students at primary school in Gugus Arjuna, West Semarang District. This research used quantitative type of correlation research. The sample technique used is a saturated sample of 113 students. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Before analyzing the data, the requirements test was carried out in the form of normality, linearity, and multicollinearity tests. The data analysis technique used were descriptive statistical analysis, simple correlation, multiple correlation, significance test, and determination test. The results show that: (1) there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and social studies outcomes, the correlation coefficient value is 0.619 and the contribution is 38.3%. (2) there is a positive and significant relationship between reading interest and social studies outcomes, the correlation coefficient value is 0.641 and a contribution is 41.1%, (3) there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and reading interest together with Social studies outcomes, the correlation coefficient value is 0.697 and the contribution is 48.6%.
