This research is motivated by the fading character values of students or learners which are found in almost all schools which causes the emergence of childish actions. This study aims to determine the efforts of teachers and parents in introducing and instilling character education values in students. This study also uses a qualitative descriptive research type, namely research related to the implementation of character education. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the teacher's efforts were how to implement education in class XI students of SMK Negeri 6 Sula Islands. Efforts to implement character education are carried out through approaches with Civics teachers, students, and parents when they are in the school or family environment, namely always providing advice and guidance about character education values, such as religious values, honesty values, tolerance, values democracy, the value of discipline, and responsibility. What obstacles are encountered in implementing character education in class XI students of SMK Negeri 6 Sula Islands, namely the influence of external factors on the rate of technological development and out-of-school association by students who do not get attention from the family so that there are obstacles in coaching character.
