PENGARUH PEMBERIAN KOMPRES HANGAT TERHADAP PENURUNAN TINGKAT NYERI DISMENORE PADA REMAJA PUTRI DI SMP NEGERI 278 JAKARTA

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is lower abdominal cramping pain that is felt during menstruation due to an imbalance of the hormone progesterone, stress, and consumption of fast food. Dysmenorrhea can be treated with non-pharmacological therapy, one of which is warm compress therapy. WHO data obtained 90% of women in the world severe dysmenorrhea. Meanwhile, the incidence of dysmenorrhea in Indonesia is quite high at 64.25%, consisting of 54.89% primary dysmenorrhea and 9.36% secondary dysmenorrhea. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of giving warm compresses to reduce the level of dysmenorrhea pain in adolescent girls at SMP Negeri 278 Jakarta. The study used a quasi-experimental quantitative approach with a non-equivalent control group design, research sampling with a replication formula, the number obtained was 40 respondents divided into 20 experimental groups and 20 control groups. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Analysis of univariate and bivariate research with nonparametric Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test analysis obtained an Asymp.Sig.(2-tailed) of 0.001 < 0.05 so that Ha was accepted. There is an effect of giving warm compresses to decrease the pain level of dysmenorrhea.
