Abstract

The implementation of this research is located at SD Negeri 3 Lemukih Singarajawhich aims to determine the increase in student achievement after applying the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to improve the science learning achievement of class VI students in semester II of the 2019/2020 academic year after applying the contextual teaching and learning model in teaching and learning activities. The initial problem that occurs is that the teacher's learning process has not been maximized in improving students' science learning achievement. After the data was collected using an instrument in the form of a science learning achievement test, the students' initial average score was 59.27, rising to 68.73 in cycle I and rising to 84.65 in cycle II. The results in cycle II were in accordance with the expectations of indicators of research success, therefore this research was not continued to the next cycle.  With the acquisition of these data it can be ascertained that the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in the implementation of the learning process is able to improve student achievement so that the hypothesis proposed can be accepted.
