Salah satu tujuan pendidikan nasional di Indonesia adalah mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa agar mampu bersaing dengan bangsa lain. Perubahan dan penerapan kurikulum 2013 menjadi tantangan tersendiri terutama bagi beberapa sekolah. Kemampuan guru dan tingkat kesiapan siswa sangat mempengaruhi proses dan hasil belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) mengetahui kesiapan belajar siswa ketika di sekolah, dan 2) mengetahui pengaruh ice breaking terhadap kesiapan belajar siswa di sekolah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Islam Bintang Juara yang beralamat di jalan Dewi Sartika No. 17 A Semarang pada bulan April sampai Juni 2021 dengan subjek kelas 2A sebanyak 17 siswa. Hasil pelitian adalah tingkat kesiapan siswa setelah diterapkannya ice breakinglebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan sebelum diterapkannya ice breaking. Sehingga adanya pengaruh ice breaking terhadap kesiapan belajar siswa di sekolah. The goal of national education in Indonesia is to educate the nation's life so that it can compete with other nations. Changes and implementation of the 2013 curriculum is a challenge, especially for some schools. The ability of teachers and the level of readiness of students greatly affect the process and learning outcomes. The aims of this study were 1) to determine students' readiness to learn, and 2) to determine the effect of ice breaking on student learning readiness at school. This research was conducted at SD Islam Bintang Juara which is located at Jalan Dewi Sartika 17 A Semarang in April to June 2021 with 17 students in class 2A as the subject. The result of the research is that the level of student readiness after the implementation of ice breaking is higher than before. So that the ice breaking has an influence on student learning readiness at school.
