Abstract

This study investigates because students comprehension in mathematical conceptis still low and less of students activity in teaching is significant effect of studentscomprehension in mathematical concept with one to one technique of VIII class atSMPN 31 Padang. This study is experimental research, design of the research isone shot case study the population in this study are all of VIII class students atSMPN 31 Padang in first year of 2014/ 2015 which consists of eight classes. Theresearcher uses cluster random sampling, and get VIII.4 as a experiment class.The instrument used observation checklist and post test which forms esay withreliability of the test is r11=0,922. Dealing to the result description and data quisanalysis, it can be seen the development of students comprehension inmathematical concept in every meeting are increase, the result of is 81,81 andpretes is 41,88. So, it can be concluded, one to one technique is significanttoward. Students comprehension in mathematical concept of VIII student atSMPN 31 Padang.
