This research is based on the students comprehension of mathematical conceptsare still low. This study aims to determine: 1) how the development indicators ofstudents comprehension of mathematical concepts by applying active learningstrategies The Question Students Have accompanied quiz; 2) whether studentscomprehension of mathematical concepts by applying active learning strategiesThe Po Question Students Have wer Of Two types of quizzes with better thanstudents comprehension of mathematical concepts with conventional learning inclass VIII MTsN Kuranji Padang. This was an experimental research which usedStatic Group Comparison. The population of the research was the students in classVIII of MTsN Kuranji Padang registered in Academic Year 2014/2015. Theinstrument of the research was an essay test. The data gathered in this researchwas analyzed by using U Mann-Whitney test assisted with Software MINITAB14. Results were obtained: 1) indicators of achievement of studentscomprehension of mathematical concepts are not stable or up and down, 2) theresult of the hypothesis test, it was known that P-value was 0.0000 on thesignificance level 0.05 in which P-value < α. This result indicated that themathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using TradingPlaces active learning strategy better than that of students taught by usingconventional strategy was accepted.
