In the 4.0 era, technology is increasingly sophisticated, which has a negative and positive impact on society. The positive impact is in the form of women's participation in spreading positive information to the general public, which we often call digital literacy. The negative impact is the amount of hoax information and forms of harassment on social media. Based on the research that has been done, the information submitted by Women's Right Online indicates that there are quite extreme habits toward digital empowerment in Indonesia. Women are 50% more likely to be unable to connect online than men. Then about 30% -50% tend to use the internet for economic and political empowerment. Therefore, digital competence and literacy skills are needed in criticizing information so that it goes hand in hand with the progress of civilization. This research is presented to describe how women are empowered through digital literacy, whose data sources were obtained from the results of previous studies. With digital literacy, it is possible for women not to be left behind and can maximize their potential to eliminate gender bias in society.
