Background in research due to a decrease in employee performance PPL. For that to know the cause of adecrease in performance with attention to leadership and compensation, presented the formulation of the problem,namely : Does leadership and compensation simultaneously affect the employee âs performance extension agents at theExecutive Agency and the Food Security Extension Siak? Is leadership a partial effect on employee performance ExtensionOfficers (PPL) at the Executive Agency for Food Security Extension Siak? Is partially compensating effect on employeeperformance Extension Officers at the Executive Agency for Food Security Extension Siak Siak? The purpose of this studywas to analyze the effect of simultaneous and partial compensation to employee performance and leadership ExtensionOfficers at the Executive Agency and the Food Security Extension Siak.The population is all employees of PPL on the Executive Agency and the Food Security Extension Siak totaling 129people, using the Slovin thus obtained a sample of 57 respondents. The type of data used is primary data and secondarydata. Data was collected through interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis method used is descriptive andquantitative method, which is the value of analyzing the data obtained are tabulated by multiple regression formula.Based on the research results, we can conclude that the variable compensation assessed not affect performance becauseof the survey results revealed that the variable compensation assessed not affect performance because of the compensationreceived by an employee is already a provision regulated by Law no compensation can affect performance becauseaccording to respondents, performance their compensation earned will remain the same. Good leadership can improvethe performance of employees through motivation provided to employees. The existence of the leadership in the workplacecan increase employee performance, is seen when the leadership is in place PPL carry out their duties, then they will bespirit and enterprising in the line of duty, whereas if it is not the same in terms of leadership, usually PPL casual work .PPL âs performance needs to be improved because of the declining performance of PPL indications lead to the publicagricultural extension becomes effective and on target.Keywords : Compensation , Leadership and Performance
