One aspect that is important and needs to be developed is the language of the child as the language is a tool for communicating with others. The study design is descriptive. The population is all children aged 1-2 years in rural Suru district dawar blandong mojokerto. In this study, most of the sampled population while non-probability sampling using sampling and the type of sampling purposive. Variable is a picture in language skills of children aged 1-2 years. The collected data is processed (editing, coding, scoring, tabulating) and analyzed using the distribution table. Results of a study of 26 respondents, child language development according to age as much as 17 respondents (65.40%), child language development doubted by 6 respondents (23,07%) and children who experienced irregularities were 3 respondents (11,53%). From the results of this study concluded that of the 26 respondents found that as many as 9 children language skills are not in accordance with his age. So their parents should train their children to speak and improve to be good quality communication.
