Abstract

The study had a goal to see if a social skills training training had an impact to reduce the intensity of the bullying on the privately-jambi students. This research is a type of experimental experimental research. Data obtained through Shapiro wilk's normality test. The technical analysis of this research is quantitative. Quantitative analysis USES non-parametris test technical mann Whitney u test which is used to measure whether there is an average value difference between two independent sample groups and wilcoxon test, to test the differences in the distribution of two separate sample groups in pairs. With the help of the SPSS program (statistical product and service solution) version 25. Based on the research that has been done, the results show that social skills training can effectively reduce bullying behavior in the experimental group rather than the control. There is a significant difference in scores in the pretest and posttest the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group realized that bullying behavior could be avoided by expressing feelings openly, controlling emotions and giving good responses.Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu untuk melihat apakah pelatihan social skills training memiliki dampak untuk mengurangi intensitas bullying pada siswa SMK Swasta Jambi Medan. Penelitian ini ialah jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan true-eksperimental design. Data diperoleh melalui uji normalitas Shapiro Wilk. Teknik analisis dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif. Analisis kuantitatif menggunakan uji non parametris yaitu teknis analisis Mann Whitney U Test yang digunakan untuk mengukur ada tidaknya perbedaan nilai rata-rata dua kelompok sampel yang saling independent, dan Wilcoxon test, untuk menguji perbedaan distribusi dua kelompok sampel yang berpasangan. Dengan bantuan program SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) versi 25. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan hasil bahwa pelatihan social skills training secara efektif dapat menurunkan perilaku bullying pada kelompok eksperimen daripada kontrol. Terdapat perbedaan skor yang signifikan pada pretest dan posttest kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen menyadari bahwa perilaku bullying dapat dihindari dengan menyampaikan perasaan secara terbuka, mengontrol emosi dan memberi respon yang baik.
