<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the critical incident strategy in learning Arabic to increase maharah kitabah in class VIII at MTs Darul Hikam Undaan Kudus in the 2021-2022 school year. This study uses a quantitative approach. This research is a quasi-experimental research. The samples used were 31 students from class VIII B as the experimental class and 30 students from class VIII A as the control class. The data collection technique used is a test. Based on the results of the N-Gain Score test, the experimental class average was 0.50 in the medium category and the control class average was 0.22 in the low category.
