UJI EFEK EKSTRAK ETANOL KULIT TERUNG UNGU (Solanum melongena L) TERHADAP PENURUNAN KADAR KOLESTEROL TOTAL DAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH TIKUS PUTIH JANTAN (Rattus norvegicus) HIPERKOLESTEROLEMIA-DIABETES

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan menguji kandungan senyawa metabolit sekunder, menguji efek dari ekstrak etanol kulit terung ungu dan dosis bertingkat yang memberikan efek terhadap kadar kolesterol total dan kadar glukosa darah pada tikus putih jantan hiperkolesterolemia-diabetes. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan 35 ekor hewan uji yang dikelompokkan kedalam 7 kelompok perlakuan yaitu kelompok kontrol normal, kontrol negatif, kontrol positif simvastatin, kelompok positif metformin dan 3 kelompok uji dengan variasi dosis ekstrak masing-masing 25 mg/KgBB, 50 mg/KgBB, dan 100 mg/KgBB. Pengukuran kadar kolesterol dan kadar glukosa darah dilakukan pada hari ke 0, 31, 38, dan 45 setelah diberi perlakuan. Data kadar kolesterol total dan glukosa darah yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji one way ANOVA pada taraf kepercayaan 95% dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Post Hoc LSD untuk melihat perbedaan yang bermakna antar kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; pemberian ekstrak etanol kulit terung ungu (Solanum melongena L.) dengan dosis 50 mg/kg BB paling efektif menurunkan kadar kolesterol total dan kadar glukosa darah tikus putih jantan (Rattus norvegicus) hiperkolesterolemia-diabetes. Kata Kunci : Kulit terung ungu (Solanum melongena L.), kolesterol total, kadar glukosa darah AbstractThis study aims to examine the content of secondary metabolite compounds, test the effects of purple eggplant ethanol extract, and the multilevel doses that have an effect on total cholesterol levels and blood glucose levels of white male rats hypercholesterolemia-diabetes. The experiment was conducted using 35 test animals grouped in 7 groups with treatment of normal control group, negative control, simvastatin positive control, metformin positive control and 3 test groups with variation of dose of extract respectively 25 mg / KgBW, 50 mg/Kg BW, and 100 mg/Kg BW. Measurements of cholesterol levels and blood glucose were performed on days 0, 31, 38, and 45 after treatment. Blood glucose and total cholesterol levels were analyzed using one-way ANOVA test at 95% confidence level and followed by Post Hoc LSD test, to se meaningful differsnces between groups. The results showed: provision of ethanol extract skin purple eggplant with the moost effective dose 50 mg/kg BB reduced total cholesterol levels and blood glucose levels of male white rats hypercholesterolemia-diabetes.  Keywords: Skin purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L.), total cholesterol, blood glucose levels
