Abstract

AbstrakTimbal merupakan salah satu logam berat yang keberadaannya melimpah di alam. Paparan dan serapan unsur timbal di alam menjadi masalah karena dapat mengkontaminasi makanan dan air. Kontaminasi timbal pada makanan dan air dapat menyebabkan efek yang merugikan bagi kesehatan. Berbagai jenis sampel dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia telah dilakukan analisis kandungan timbal. Metode yang banyak digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan instrumen spektroskopi serapan atom. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar sampel yang banyak terkontaminasi oleh timbal adalah makanan yang berasal dari perairan karena wilayah perairan tersebut telah menjadi alternatif untuk pembuangan limbah industri, pertanian, dan rumah tangga.  Kata Kunci: timbal, kontaminasi, analisis, spektroskopi serapan atom  AbstractLead is one of the heavy metal that is abundant in the environment. Exposure and absorption of lead elements in nature become a problem because it can contaminate food and water. Lead contamination in food and water can cause adverse health effects. Lead contamination in various types of samples from various regions in Indonesia has been analyzed. A widely used method to lead determination is atomic absorption spectroscopy. The result shows that the most samples that are heavily contaminated by lead is food that comes from water. It causes the water has been an alternative way to industrial, agricultural, and household waste disposal.  Keywords: lead, contamination, analysis, atomic absorption spectroscopy
