The purpose of this research was to describe the learning of short story writing with in the Curiculum 2013. The method which was used in this research was descriptive qualitative. The result of research indicates the teacher had done three steps of the short story writing learning in the Curiculum 2013. Teachers activities were three activities phases, those are activity of antecedent, activity of core, and activity of conclusion. Students activities were perceive activity, ask activity, try activity, natural existence activity, and communicate activity. At the analysis result of student work writing short story used indicators references of writing short story based on the Curriculum 2013 covering selection of themes, short story contents, usage of dictions, usage of spelling/EYD, and short story structures.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan penilaian pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru telah melakukan tiga tahap pembelajaran dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013. Aktivitas yang dilakukan guru meliputi tiga tahap kegiatan, yaitu kegiatan pendahuluan, kegiatan inti, dan kegiatan penutup. Aktivitas yang dilakukan siswa meliputi aktivitas mengamati, aktivitas menanya, aktivitas mencoba, aktivitas menalar, dan aktivitas mengomunikasikan. Pada analisis hasil karya siswa menulis cerita pendek menggunakan acuan indikator menulis cerita pendek berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013 yang meliputi pemilihan tema, isi cerita pendek, penggunaan diksi, penggunaan ejaan/EYD, dan struktur cerita pendek.Kata kunci: kurikulum 2013, pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek, tahapan pembelajaran.
