KAJIAN KONSEP ARSITEKTUR BIOKLIMATIK PADA BANGUNAN HOTEL RESORT (STUDI KASUS HAINAN BLUE BAY WESTIN)

ABSTRAK. Hotel Resort didefinisikan sebagai hotel yang terletak dikawasan wisata, dimana sebagian pengunjung yang menginap tidak melakukan kegiatan usaha. Umumnya terletak cukup jauh dari pusat kota sekaligus difungsikan sebagai tempat peristirahatan. Berdasarkan definisi diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa hotel resort secara total menyediakan fasilitas untuk berlibur, rekreasi, dan olahraga. Selain itu, umumnya resort hotel tidak bisa dipisahkan dari kegiatan menginap bagi pengunjung yang berlibur dan ingin menghilangkan penat dari kegiatan sehari-hari. Hotel Resort umumnya di bangun pada daerah pantai yang memiliki iklim berbeda dari perkotaan. Maka dari itu pada penelitian ini diterapkan konsep Arsitektur Bioklimatik, yang merupakan konsep yang sangat memperhatikan aspek lingkungan dan iklim sekitar yang dimana konsep tersebut dapat memanfaatkan potensi alam untuk dijadikan sebagai pencahayaan alami dan guna mengurangi penggunaan energi listrik.Kata Kunci: arsitektur, bioklimatik, hotel resort, iklim, konsep ABSTRACT. Resort hotels are defined as hotels located in tourist areas, where most of the visitors who stay do not carry out business activities. Generally located quite far from the city center as well as functioned as a resting place. Based on the above definition, it can be concluded that resort hotels provide facilities for vacation, recreation, and sports in total. In addition, generally resort hotels cannot be separated from staying activities for visitors who are on vacation and want to relieve fatigue from daily activities. Resort hotels are generally built in coastal areas that have a different climate from urban areas. Therefore in this study, the concept of Bioclimatic Architecture is applied, which is a concept that is very concerned with environmental and climatic aspects where the concept can take advantage of the potential of nature to be used as natural lighting and to reduce the use of electrical energy.Keywords: architecture, bioclimatic, hotel resort, climate, concept
