<![CDATA[Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi masih banyak peserta didik di kelas 7 SMP Negeri 2 Ngamprah belum mencapai nilai KKM (70) pada hasil belajar materi kalor dan perpindahannya pada KD.3.4. Guru seringkali menampilkan grafik pengaruh kalor terhadap perubahan suhu dan wujud zat secara langsung, utuh dan tanpa dijelaskan tahapan tahapannya. Peserta didik kesulitan membaca grafik dan menyelesaikan soal soal tentang kalor. Penelitian ini bertujuan memudahkan peserta didik dengan pembelajaran HOTS, sehingga dapat memperkuat penguasaan konsep IPA. Data menunjukkan hampir setiap tahunnya tidak kurang dari 75% di bawah KKM. Upaya perbaikan yang dilakukan dengan memperbaiki pembelajaran memakai model discovery learning menggunakan media grafik berbantu berupa kertas warna yang diberi identitas, warna merah untuk ruas garis miring yang menunjukkan ada perubahan suhu, dan warna hijau untuk ruas garis datar tanpa perubahan suhu pada grafik kalor. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa tes pemahaman konsep, LKPD, lembar observasi, dan hasil dokumentasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini berbentuk best practice dengan indikator keberhasilan 85% peserta didik mencapai KKM yang menunjukkan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Kata kunci: Grafik berbantu, kertas warna beridentitas ABSTRACT The study was backgrounded by there were lots of students of the 7th grade in SMPN 2 Ngamprah who hadn't reached KKM point (70) of the result of the calorie material to the change of a substance temperature and form directly and without explanation of its steps. The students found difficulty in reading graphic and doing test about calorie. The goal of the study was making the students easy to learn with HOTS method in order to strengthen the understanding of the science concept. Data showed that every year there were about 75% of the students got the mark below KKM point. The effort of improvement was done by the discovery Learning method using graphic media help of colorfull paper which was given identity; the red color was for slash segment which showed the change of temperature, the green one for flat segment without change of temperature in calorie graphic. The result showed that there was an increase of the students leaning result. Data collected were the test of understanding concept, LKPD, Observation sheet, and the result of learning documentation. The study was the report of best practice by the success indicator of 85% of the students reached KKM point. This meant that the method could increase the learning result of the students.
