KEMATIAN PADA PASIEN TERKONFIRMASI COVID-19 DI PROVINSI BALI TAHUN 2020

Abstract

ABSTRAK Sejak kasus pertama COVID-19 di Indonesia, jumlah kematian terus meningkat dan hal ini menempatkan Provinsi Bali pada peringkat keenam provinsi dengan jumlah kasus kematian COVID-19 terbanyak di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian, untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang berhubungan dengan kematian pasien COVID-19 di Provinsi Bali. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan case-control dengan menggunakan data sekunder. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Januari hingga Mei tahun 2021. Sampel terdiri dari 337 kasus dan 674 kontrol yang dipilih secara simple random sampling. Berdasarkan analisis, variabel yang berhubungan dengan kematian diantaranya, usia yang lebih tua (aOR: 1,06; 95% CI: 1,05-1,07), bertempat tinggal di daerah rural (aOR: 0,48; 95% CI0,33-0,68), sesak napas (aOR: 4,27; 95% CI: 2,99-6,10), hipertensi (aOR; 1,83; 95% CI: 11,07-3,13), gagal ginjal kronis (aOR: 4,47; 95% CI: 2,22-8,99), penyakit jantung (aOR: 2,28; 95% CI: 1,19-4,36), laki-laki (aOR: 1,27; 95% CI: 0,90-1,80), demam (aOR: 1,34; 95% CI: 0,94-1,91), dan diabetes melitus (aOR: 1,51; 95% CI: 0,99-2,32). Pasien terkonfirmasi COVID-19 yang berusia lebih tua, mengalami gejala dan komorbid memiliki peluang untuk mengalami kematian. Abstract The death cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia has continued to increase ever since the first case. Bali Province is in the sixth place of the province with the highest numbers of COVID-19 death cases in Indonesia. The objective of this study is to identify factors related to the death cases of COVID-19 in Bali Province. This study uses a case-control approach with secondary data. The study was conducted from January 2021 to May 2021. Samples taken from 377 cases and 674 control, and chosen from simple random sampling. The results of the study, the variables related to the death cases of COVID-19; older age (aOR: 1.06; 95%CI: 1.05-1.07), living in rural areas (aOR: 0.48; 95%CI: 0.33-0.68), dyspnea (aOR: 4.27; 95%CI: 2.99-6.10), hypertension (aOR; 1.83; 95%CI: 11.07-3.13), chronic kidney disease (aOR: 4.47; 95%CI: 2.22-8.99), heart disease (aOR: 2.28; 95%CI: 1.19-4.36), male (aOR: 1.27; 95%CI: 0.90-1.80), fever (aOR: 1.34; 95%CI: 0.94-1.91), and diabetes mellitus (aOR: 1.51; 95%CI: 0.99-2.32). Patients with COVID-19 who are older, symptomatic patients, and patients with comorbidities have higher risk of death.
