Fermentasi Bahan Baku Nabati Pakan dengan Cairan Rumen Sapi dalam Meningkatkan Pertumbuhan Ikan Mas (Cyprinus carpio)

Abstract

ABSTRAKIkan mas adalah salah satu ikan air tawar yang bersifat herbivor. Pakan sebagai sumber nutrien dalam pembesaran ikan mas umumnya terbuat dari beberapa campuran bahan baku nabati. Penggunaan bahan baku nabati tanpa pengolahan dapat menurunkan pertumbuhan ikan karena kandungan serat dan zat antinutrisnya yang relatif tinggi. Cairan rumen sapi merupakan salah satu bahan kaya akan enzim dan mikroorganisme yang berperan dalam menurunkan serat kasar dan zat antinutrisi pada bahan nabati pakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan dosis cairan rumen sapi yang tepat sebagai bahan fermentasi pada seluruh bahan nabati pakan dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan mas. Penelitian didesain menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap. Perlakuan yang diujikan yakni dosis penggunaan cairan rumen sapi (0%, 25%, 50% dan 75% dari bobot bahan nabati pakan). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan cairan rumen sapi sebagai bahan fermentasi bahan nabati dalam pembuatan pakan memberikan pengaruh nyata (p0,05) terhadap laju pertumbuhan spesifik harian (LSPH), pertambahan bobot individu (PBI), rasio konversi pakan (RKP). LSPH dan PBI tertinggi serta RKP terendah diperoleh pada perlakuan dosis cairan rumen sapi 75% per bobot sampel bahan nabati yakni secara berurut sebesar 2,87 % hari-1, 1,18 g dan 1,77. Kelangsungan hidup selama pemeliharaan untuk semua perlakuan berkisar antara 66,67-80,0%. Kualitas air selama pemeliharaan meliputi pH (5,8-8,1), suhu (28-30 ºC), oksigen terlarut (5,0-6,8 ppm), dan amonia  (0,05-0,01 ppm) masih dalam kategori sesuai untuk pemeliharaan benih ikan mas. Dosis penggunaan cairan rumen sapi sebagai bahan fermentasi bahan baku nabati pakan yang memberikan nilai terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan D (75% cairan rumen sapi).Kata Kunci: Bahan baku pakan, Kelangsungan hidup, Rasio konversi pakanABSTRACTThe carp (Cyprinus carpio) is a herbivorous freshwater fish. Feed as a source of nutrients in carp grow-out is generally made from a mixture of plant-based ingredients. The use of unprocessed plant materials can inhibit fish growth due to the relatively high fiber and anti-nutrient content. Bovine rumen fluid is rich in enzymes and microorganisms that can reduce crude fiber and anti-nutrient content in plant-based feed ingredients. This study aimed to determine the best dose of bovine rumen fluid used as a plant-based feed ingredient fermentation agent in terms of improving the growth and survival of carp fry. The study used a complete randomized design. The treatments trialed were various doses of bovine rumen fluid (0%, 25%, 50% and 75% of plant-based feed ingredients by weight). The results showed that using bovine rumen liquid to induce fermentation of plant-based feed ingredients during feed manufacturing had a significant effect (p0.05) on specific growth rate (SGR), individual weight gain (IWG), and feed conversion ratio (FCR). The highest SGR and IWG and the lowest FCR (2.87% day-1, 1.18 g and 1.77, respectively) were obtained under the bovine rumen fluid dose of 75% plant-based ingredient weight. Across all treatments, survival rate during the study period ranged from 66.67-80.0%. Water quality remained within suitable ranges for carp fry rearing, as follows: pH (5.8-8.1), temperature (28-30ºC), dissolved oxygen (5.0-6.8 ppm), and ammonia (0.05-0.01 ppm). The dosage of bovine rumen fluid that provided the best results when used as a fermentation agent for plant-based ingredients in carp fry feed was treatment D (75% bovine rumen fluid by weight).Key words: Feed ingredients, Survival, Feed conversion ratio.
