<![CDATA[This study aims to improve the ability to write news through the 5W+1H method in class XI students of SMK Negeri 2 Mangoli Selatan. This type of research is Class Action Research (PTK). The research subjects were 19 students of class XI at SMK Negeri 2 Mangoli Selatan. In collecting data using observation techniques, interviews, tests, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use quantitative data calculation techniques. The results of the study proved that the comparison of the average value of the results of students' writing ability increased by 59.17%, namely from cycle I by 65.89% to 89.42%% in cycle II with a total increase of 2%. This success can be seen from the comparison from pre-cycle to cycle I (good qualification level) and from cycle I to cycle II (very good qualification level). Therefore it can be concluded that 1. The use of the 5W+1H method is enough to increase the process of student learning activities) 2. The results of learning to write news have been able to reach the standard of completeness given after using the 5W+1H method.]]>
