This study is to explain the application of ARCS learning to Social Studies thematic content lessons to increase students' learning motivation in elementary schools. The research method uses literature studies by tracing reputable journals to explain the use of the ARCS model to increase student learning motivation. Motivation to learn is an encouragement that arises both intrinsically and extrinsically to learn. Motivation must remain within students during the learning process. This requires the role of the teacher to motivate students. Teachers can maintain and increase student motivation with the application of ARCS learning.
