<![CDATA[As many as 54% of children aged 5-9 years have cavities, damaged or diseased teeth. But only 14.6% of these children received treatment from dental medical personnel. This shows that public awareness of dental and oral health is low. The purpose of this activity is to increase dental and oral health knowledge to prevent an increase in the number of dental and oral problems in Indonesia. The method used in this community service is counseling and health checks at the Brajan Toddler Posyandu, Taman Tirto, Bantul. A total of 21 mothers underwent a general health examination and 15 of them agreed to have a dental examination. The examination results showed that the majority of participants had stage 1 hypertension and the DMF-T results were in the moderate category based on the WHO assessment. The results of counseling activities showed an increase in awareness regarding general health knowledge, dental and oral health after counseling by 22.62%.]]>
