The gastronomic topic was chosen because it relates to culinary arts or food which is closely related to place, identity and culture. This expertise has also become a part of tourism. The purpose of this study was to identify the presence of halal food in the Old Shanghai Kelapa Gading area. Researchers used a descriptive method with a qualitative description to describe the research results. The results showed that there are still halal food and snacks in the Old Shanghai Kelapa Gading area such as: (1) Hoy Tod, (2) Master Squid, (3) Bakmi Ayam Alung, (4) Ponggol Nasi Lemak, and (5) Pontianak Crab Noodles. Old Shanghai still has non-halal food for non-Muslims, to maintain its legendary culinary offerings.
