This study aims to find out whether the task analysis method can improve the ability to fold clothes in self-development activities for mentally retarded children with moderate type in elementary class IV at Christian Emmanuel Manado Special School. This research is a single subject research (Single Subject Research). The subject of the study was one mentally retarded child with a moderate type in elementary class v. The research was conducted using an A-B-A design. Data collection was carried out using a clothes folding ability test and observation. The data analysis used is descriptive data analysis in the form of graphical visual analysis. The data obtained were analyzed through analysis within conditions and analysis between conditions. The results of the study showed that there were positive results in the use of media images to increase the ability to read at the beginning. It is shown by the data that overlaps in the analysis between conditions A1/B and B/A2 of 0%, which means that the smaller the percentage of overlap indicates the greater the influence on the target behavior. This is also supported by an increase in the ability to fold clothes that children acquire during intervention and baseline 2. In the intervention phase, an increase is indicated by a 20% success percentage and in the baseline-2 phase it increases sharply with a percentage obtained, namely 40%.
