Discipline is a serious obedience and compliance with disciplinary regulations of members of the Indonesian National Police, the duties and authority given to members of the Indonesian National Police in carrying out tasks in the field of law enforcement are essentially obtained attributively, namely regulated in legislation, it is inevitable from the situation and conditions of the rapid development of information and technology today, there are still violations of discipline committed by members of the Indonesian National Police, who are actually protectors of the community. The purpose of this research is to know juridically about the regulations governing the discipline of members of the Indonesian National Police and understand the mechanism for resolving violations of discipline of members of the Indonesian National Police. This research uses normative juridical research method which is descriptive analytic through primary, secondary and tertiary data. The results of this study indicate that (1) the regulations governing the discipline of members of the Indonesian National Police are Law Number 2 of 2002 concerning the Indonesian National Police, Government Regulation Number 2 of 2003 concerning Disciplinary Regulations for Members of the Indonesian National Police and KaPOLRI Regulation Number 2 of 2016 concerning the settlement of violations of discipline of members of the Indonesian National Police; (2) the mechanism for resolving violations of discipline of members of the Indonesian National Police is organized through the stages of reports or complaints, preliminary examinations, examinations before disciplinary hearings, imposition of penalties, and recording in individual personnel data. In imposing disciplinary punishment, the superior who has the right to punish needs to consider the situation and conditions when the violation occurred, the repetition and daily behavior of violators of discipline, the realization of justice and being able to cause a deterrent effect, and still uphold human rights
