This research is motivated by the very heavy role of supervisors in carrying out educational and learning tasks in schools, not only as an educational supervisor, but also as a counselor and motivator in order to create a conducive atmosphere in the teaching and learning process at school. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of Islamic religious education supervisors in increasing the professionalism of Islamic religious education (PAI) teachers. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study show that teachers are an important component in achieving educational success, teachers must be more professional and move dynamically following the changes that occur in society. Therefore, the strategic efforts of a supervisor are needed in accompanying teachers to manage learning. The conclusion of this study is that the role of supervisors in increasing the professionalism of Islamic religious education teachers can be seen from the supervisor's efforts to improve supervisory performance by holding trainings, seminars, workshops and so on. If this is made a habit, then the professionalism of the teacher will increase or develop up toinfluence student achievement.
