<![CDATA[The concept of populist economy is one of the instruments of the economic system in Indonesia. The Populist Economic System which is based on kinship, democracy and justice encourages the Indonesian people to participate in capital ownership. The development of a populist economic system must be able to empower the community and enhance national economic development. Therefore this study aims to analyze the development of the Populist Economic System in the Indonesian Economic System. The research method used is a descriptive-analytical approach by collecting data through literature studies and relevant policy analysis. The collected data will be analyzed qualitatively to understand the role of the populist economic system in Indonesia's economic development. The research results show that the development of a populist economic system in Indonesia provides economic independence for the Indonesian nation and paralyzes it from economic threats by creating a strong economic base, reducing dependence on vulnerable economic sectors, and increasing the resilience of the national economy. Realizing these rights is carried out through the development of cooperatives, the development of state-owned enterprises, providing decent jobs and livelihoods for the community and managing and utilizing existing resources for the prosperity of the people.]]>
