This article discusses an analysis of changes to the rules in Law Number 17 of 2008 concerning Shipping that occurred after the passage of the Job Creation Law. There have been several changes made to Law Number 17 of 2008 concerning Shipping, including those related to the amount of fines, criminal sanctions, and the delegation of authority to local governments. This article also discusses the need for certification for seafarers before entering the world of practitioners, as well as the imbalance in the rules in the RPP regarding general agents and business activities in special economic zones. It is hoped that this article can provide an understanding of changes to the rules in the Shipping Law after the passage of the Job Creation Law.
