<![CDATA[Welfare is an order in social life where people feel prosperous, healthy, and peaceful. In terms of the reach of development for the community to meet the necessities of life, one of which is community empowerment through home renovation assistance. The problem of failing to meet the needs of proper housing for residents is a strong indicator of the not-yet prosperous condition of some residents of Mundurejo Village, Umbulsari District, Jember Regency. This activity involves related parties in making it happen, especially from social institutions established at the service location. The essence of this empowerment is to help residents who belong to the du'afa so that they can have an equal standard of living in terms of housing. This service uses the Empowerment-Based Research method, a community service space for empowerment based on research results in Mundurejo Village, Umbulsari District, Jember Regency. The house renovation assistance program aims to help people experiencing poverty who do not have decent homes live comfortably and safely. The result of this house renovation assistance was the implementation of the renovation of two houses owned by two residents of Mundurejo Village. They have become more livable houses, as well as the realization of the social awareness of Mundurejo Village in preserving cooperation activities as positive social capital. (Kesejahteraan hidup merupakan tatanan dalam penghidupan sosial di mana orang-orang merasakan keadaan yang makmur, sehat, dan damai. Dalam artian terjangkaunya pembangunan untuk masyarakat demi memenuhi kebutuhan hidup, salah satunya adalah pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pendampingan bedah rumah. Permasalahan kurang terpenuhinya kebutuhan papan yang layak huni bagi warga adalah salah satu indikator kuat kondisi belum makmurnya sebagian warga masyarakat Desa Mundurejo Kecamatan Umbulsari Kabupaten Jember. Kegiatan ini melibatkan pihak-pihak terkait dalam mewujudkannya, terutama dari lembaga sosial yang telah berdiri di lokasi pengabdian. Inti dari pemberdayaan ini adalah untuk membantu warga yang tergolong kaum du'afa agar dapat sejajar taraf hidupnya dalam hal tempat tinggal. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode Empowerment–Based Research, yaitu ruang pengabdian kepada masyarakat untuk pemberdayaan yang berpijak pada hasil riset di Desa Mundurejo Kecamatan Umbulsari Kabupaten Jember. Tujuan dari program pendampingan bedah rumah untuk membantu warga kaum du'afa yang tidak memiliki rumah layak huni agar dapat hidup dengan nyaman dan aman. Hasil dari pendampingan bedah rumah ini adalah terlaksananya renovasi dua rumah milik dua warga Desa Mundurejo sehingga menjadi rumah yang lebih layak huni, serta terwujudnya kesadaran masyarakat Desa Mundurejo dalam melestarikan kegiatan gotong-royong sebagai modal sosial yang positif.)]]>
