The aims of this study were: to find out the relationship between the community environment and the family environment on students' learning motivation in geography subject and to find out how much the relationship between the community environment and family environment has on student learning motivation in geography class X class at SMA Negeri 28 Halmahera Selatan. This research is quantitative descriptive. Respondents amounted to 36 students. Test the validity of the instrument using the Product Moment correlation and test the reliability using the Cronbach's Alpha formula. Data analysis prerequisite tests include normality tests and linearity tests. The data analysis used is a simple regression analysis technique for the first hypothesis (X1 – Y) and the second hypothesis (X2 – Y) and multiple regression analysis for the third hypothesis (X1 X2 – Y). The results showed that there was a positive relationship between the community environment and the learning motivation of class X students with rx1y = 0.457; r2 x1y= 0.209; and tcount of 3.042 greater than ttable of 2.026 and a positive relationship with the family environment, namely, with rx2y = 0.651; r2x2y = 0.424 and tcount = 5.073 which is greater than ttable of 2.026. 2) there is a positive relationship between the community environment and family environment together with students' learning motivation Ry(1,2) = 0.652; R2 y(1,2) = 0.425; and Fcount of 12.580 greater than Ftable of 3.27.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: Untuk mengetahui hubungan lingkungan masyarakat dah lingkungan keluarga terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran geografi serta Untuk mengetahui berapa besar hubungan lingkungan masyarakat dan lingkungan keluarga terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Geografi kelas X di SMA Negeri 28 Halmahera Selatan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Responden berjumlah 36 siswa. Uji validitas instrumen menggunakan korelasi Product Moment dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus Cronbach’s Alpha. Uji prasyarat analisis data meliputi uji normalitas dan uji linearitas. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknis analisis regresi sederhana untuk hipotesis pertama (X1 – Y) dan hipotesis kedua (X2 – Y) serta analisis regresi ganda untuk hipotesis ketiga (X1 X2 – Y). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat Hubunganh positif Lingkungan masyarakat terhadap Motivasi Belajar siswa kelas X dengan rx1y= 0,457; r2 x1y= 0,209; dan thitung sebesar 3.042 lebih besar dari ttabel sebesar 2,026 dan hubunganh positif Lingkungan keluarga yakni, dengan rx2y = 0,651; r2x2y =0,424 dan thitung =5,073 lebih besar dari ttabel sebesar 2,026. 2) terdapat hubungan positif Lingkungan masyarakat dan Lingkungan Keluarga secara bersama-sama terhadap Motivasi Belajar siswa Ry(1,2) = 0,652; R2 y(1,2) = 0,425; dan Fhitung sebesar 12,580 lebih besar dari Ftabel sebesar 3,27.
