<![CDATA[This study aims to examine the form of legal protection of a registered mark, namely Warkop DKI. Trademark is one form of Intellectual Property Rights that is important today. Intellectual Property Rights are not new to society. Bearing in mind that Intellectual Property Rights protect a value from science, art and technology so that it is not used without permission by the public. This research method uses normative juridical, which is carried out by means of a statutory approach to the problems studied. From the results of this study, it discusses the form of legal protection for the essence of a brand. Legal protection divided into repressive and preventive. Trademark protection is carried out repressively, namely preventing disputes by registering it with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI), a state institution that is authorized to register trademarks and provides protection for 10 (ten) years. In addition, preventive protection, if a dispute occurs can be resolved to the Commercial Court.]]>
