Discipline character development is not just applying rules that force children to comply with applicable regulations, but teaching children about moral behavior, respecting time and other people. The purpose of this study was to find out the role of parents in developing the character of discipline in children. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. Data collection uses a questionnaire, data analysis uses percentages. The results of the study concluded that the role of parents in instilling the character of discipline with 5 indicators including: honesty, discipline, responsibility, politeness, mutual cooperation and self-confidence is categorized as good. This means that the role of parents in shaping the character of discipline has been carried out properly
