The hashtag #BlackLivesMatter was used to draw attention to the injustices experienced by black people. As a public show of support for black people and in response to the death of George Floyd, the hashtag dominated Twitter in May 2020. Support for the movement came from various sources, including BTS' ARMY fan base. Without receiving specific instructions from their heroes, BTS' ARMY took part by utilizing existing fan content and rallied to support #BlackLivesMatter on Twitter. This research aims to find out the reasons for fan activism carried out by Indonesian BTS ARMY on the #BlackLivesMatter issue. This study has used a post-positivistic paradigm with a qualitative approach. The nature of this research is descriptive research using the case study method. The research data was obtained through interviews involving five informants. The informant determination technique in this study used purposive sampling, which is a non-probability sampling technique. The criteria for informants in this study are part of the ARMY fandom from Indonesia, and are active as ARMY in the #BlackLivesMatter 2020 issue on Twitter social media. The results show that the existence of their fandom is a strong driver of ARMY's activism in #BlackLivesMatter.
