<![CDATA[This study aims to find out 1). Differences in student learning outcomes using powtoon-based learning media and using powerpoint media in class X students of SMK PGRI Pontianak. 2). Motivation of students after using powtoon-based learning media and using powerpoint 3). the effect of powtoon-based learning media on student learning motivation in petroleum material at SMK PGRI Pontianak. The form of this research is quasi-experimental research with a non equivalent control group design. The sample of this study were students of class X TKR as an experimental class and class X TSM as a control class. Data collection tools used in this study were test results in the form of essays, motivational questionnaires, student observation sheets and interviews. Learning outcomes were analyzed using the U-Mann Whitney test. The results of data analysis showed that there were differences between the learning outcomes of students who were taught using powtoon-based learning media and those who used conventional learning namely powerpoint. Learning with powtoon-based learning media gives an effect of 24.59% to the improvement of student learning outcomes. This is supported by a student motivation questionnaire towards learning with a powtoon of 93% and with a powerpoint of 73.2%.]]>
