Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine disease commonly associated with insulin resistance and diabetes. PCOS is characterized by an imbalance of hormones, especially androgens. Hypothyroidism, which is characterized by low thyroid hormone levels, can lead to insulin resistance and impaired insulin secretion.
