KLASIFIKASI KELIMPAHAN TUMBUHAN DI KECAMATAN KINTAMANI BALI: STUDI KASUS USAHA KONSERVASI (Abundance Classification of Plants in Kintamani Bali:Case Study for Conservation Efforts)

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melestarikan jenis-jenis tumbuhan yang sudah jarang kelimpahannya di alam, yang nantinya akan dibudidayakan di Kebun Raya Bali untuk mendapatkan bibit optimal yang nantinya akan dikembalikan lagi ke habitat semula. Wilayah penelitian berada di KRPH Penelokan Kintamani yang sudah cukup kritis kondisinya (4000 Ha). Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan beberapa jenis tumbuhan yang banyak ditanam, yakni ampupu (Eucalyptus urophylla S.T. Blake), cemara geseng (Casuarina junghuhniana Miq.), gmelina (Gmelina arborea Roxb.), puspa (Schima wallichii (DC.) Korth.), mahoni (Swietenia mahagoni (L.) Jacq.), pulai (Alstonia scholaris (L.) R. Br.), bambu tali (Gigantochloa apus (J.A.& J.H.Schultes) Kurz) dan bambu petung (Dendrocalamus asper (Schult.) Backer ex Heyne). Jenis tumbuhan yang kelimpahannya sudah cukup jarang, antara lain cemara pandak (Podocarpus imbricatus Bl.), cendana (Santalum album L.), blebu (Ehretia javanica Bl.), rijasa (Elaeocarpus grandiflorus J.E. Smith) dan majagau (Dysoxylum caulostachyum Miq.). Jenis tumbuhan yang hanya ada di beberapa kawasan saja diantaranya seming (Engelhardia spicata Lesch.ex Blume), tulak (Schefflera elliptica  (Bl.) Harms.) dan mindi/jempini (Melia azedarach L.). ABSTRACTThis study aimed to conserve the plant species that have been rare in the wild habitat, and then cultivate those species in Bali Botanic Garden to obtain optimum seedlings. The optimum seedlings will be returned to their native habitat. Study area was in KRPH Penelokan Kintamani which is a bare land (4000 ha). The study results revealed some plant species widely planted, such as ampupu (Eucalyptus urophylla S.T. Blake), cemara geseng (Casuarina junghuhniana Miq.), gmelina (Gmelina arborea Roxb.), puspa (Schima wallichii (DC.) Korth.), mahoni (Swietenia mahagoni (L.) Jacq.), pulai (Alstonia scholaris (L.) R. Br.), tali bamboo (Gigantochloa apus (J.A.& J.H.Schultes) Kurz) and petung bamboo (Dendrocalamus asper (Schult.) Backer ex Heyne), whilst plant species which is quite rare were cemara pandak (Podocarpus imbricatus Bl.), sandalwood (Santalum album L.), blebu (Ehretia javanica Bl.), rijasa (Elaeocarpus grandiflorus J.E. Smith) and majagau (Dysoxylum caulostachyum Miq.). Plant species which is only exists in some areas were seming (Engelhardia spicata Lesch.ex Blume), tulak (Schefflera elliptica  (Bl.) Harms.) and mindi/jempini (Melia azedarach L.).
