Abstract

Abstract Job stress is a conceptual process that influences a person's perception and response to dangerous and threatening stimuli. In Indonesia, 60.6% of workers experience depression and 57.6% have insomnia. Preliminary studies show work stress on production unit workers in the maintenance section, namely 3 workers (30%) experiencing high stress, 6 workers experiencing moderate stress (60%), and 1 (10%) worker experiencing low stress. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the work stress of production unit maintenance workers. This type of research is analytic observational with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted in October 2022. The results of the bivariate test showed that the variables related to work stress were age (p=0.012), years of service (p=0.005), and mental workload (p=0.002). There is no relationship between the level of education (p=0.924), position (p=0.373), noise (p=0.146), and physical workload (p=0.055) with work stress. The conclusions of this study are age, years of service, mental workload are factors related to the work stress of workers in the maintenance production unit.
