Pengaruh metode role playing terhadap keterampilan sosial pada pembelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar

Abstract

AbstrakPendidikan merupakan usaha sadar dan terencana untuk mewujudkan proses pembelajaran yang membuat peserta didik aktif dalam mengembangkan potensi pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan. Sikap siswa juga perlu diperhatikan untuk pendidikan yang baik. Agar memiliki sikap yang baik, maka perlu ditanamkan keterampilan sosial di sekolah. Keterampilan sosial adalah kemampuan seseorang dalam menciptakan hubungan sosial yang positif di masyarakat. Keterampilan sosial penting dimiliki oleh siswa karena agar dapat bergaul dan diterima di masyarakat. Adanya pandemi covid 19 membuat belajar dirumah, yang mengakibatkan keterampilan sosial tergolong rendah. Metode yang cocok dalam meningkatkan keterampilan sosial salah satunya metode role playing. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode role playing berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan sosial siswa. metode penelitian yang digunakan metode kuantitatif jenis eksperimen dengan desain kuasi eksperimen nonquivalent control group design. Penelitian dilakukan di SDN Unggulan kuningan dengan subjek penelitian Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai dari hasil tes dan angket kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai Sig.(2-tailed) < 0,05. Selain itu adanya perbedaan nilai signifikasi antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas control, dilihat dari hasil sig.(2-tailed)< 0,05. Nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen lebih besar dibandingkan kelas control. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode role playing berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap keterampilan sosial di sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci: Metode role playing, Keterampilan sosial, Metode kuantitatif AbstrakEducation is a conscious and planned effort to realize a learning process that makes students active in developing their potential knowledge, attitudes and skills. The attitude of students also needs to be considered for a good education. In order to have a good attitude, it is necessary to instill social skills in schools. Social skills are a person's ability to create positive social relations in society. Social skills are important for students to have in order to get along and be accepted in society. The existence of the covid 19 pandemic made studying at home, which resulted in low social skills. One method that is suitable for improving social skills is the role playing method. So this study aims to determine the effect of the role playing method on students' social skills. The research method used is a quantitative method of experimental type with a quasi-experimental nonquivalent control group design. The research was conducted at Unggulan Kuningan Elementary School with Class IV Elementary School research subjects. The results showed that the value of the test results and the experimental class questionnaire had a value of Sig.(2-tailed) <0.05. In addition, there is a difference in the significance value between the experimental class and the control class, seen from the results of sig.(2-tailed) <0.05. The average value of the experimental class is greater than the control class. So it can be concluded that the role playing method has a significant effect on social skills in elementary schools. Keywords: Role playing method, Social skill, Quantitative method.
