MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE GROUP INVESTIGATION KELAS VII C SMP N 6 KOTA BENGKULU

This research aims to find out whether the use of the Group Investigation type Cooperative Learning Model in Mathematics Learning can improve the activity and learning outcomes of class VII C students at SMP Negeri 5 Bengkulu City. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 6 Bengkulu City in 2 (two) cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 (two) meetings. Data collection from this research was taken at the end of each meeting in the form of observation sheets and written tests (post tests). The data obtained was analyzed descriptively. The results of the analysis show that student learning activities in cycle I averaged 17 in the sufficient category, cycle II averaged 25.83 in the good category. Meanwhile, student learning outcomes in cycle I averaged 70.53 and learning completeness was 62.5% (not yet complete), cycle II was 79.125 and learning completeness was 87.5% (complete). The research concluded that learning Mathematics through the Implementation of the Group Investigation Type Cooperative Model can increase the activity and learning outcomes of class VII C students at SMP N 6 Bengkulu City in learning Mathematics. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Group Investigation pada Pembelajaran Matematika dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII C SMP Negeri 5 Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 6 Kota Bengkulu sebanyak 2 (dua) siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari 2 (dua) pertemuan. Pengumpulan data dari penelitian ini diambil setiap akhir pertemuan berupa lembar observasi, dan tes tertulis (post test). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I rata-rata 17 dengan kategori cukup, siklus II rata-rata 25,83 dengan kategori baik. Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I rata-rata 70,53 dan ketuntasan belajar 62,5 % (belum tuntas), siklus II 79,125 dan ketuntasan belajar 87,5 % (tuntas). Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran Matematika Melalui Penerapan Model Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigation dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII C SMP N 6 Kota Bengkulu pada pembelajaran Matematika.
