<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan perlindungan hukum dan factor-faktor yang menjadi penghambat dalam perlindungan hukum terhadap wartawan yang menjadi korban kekerasan dalam menjalankan tugas meliput berita. Penelitian ini merupukan penelitian normatif-empiris dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang dilakukan di Kantor Aliansi Jurnalis Independen Makassar, Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Pers Makassar dan Kepolisian Daerah Sulawesi Selatan. Metode yang gunakan adalah studi kepustakaan, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan perlindungan hukum terhadap wartawan yang menjadi korban kekerasan dalam menjalankan tugas meliput berita dilakukan berupa (1) upaya hukum organisasi wartawan dilakukan dengan cara menjalin koordinasi dan komunikasi dengan Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Pers Makassar, (2) upaya hukum Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Pers dengan langkah preventif berupa workshop, dan diskusi, langkah refresif berupa menerima laporan, pengumpulan melalui investigasi dan penyerahan laporan ke Kepolisian, (3) upaya hukum yang dilakukan oleh Kepolisian Daerah Sulawesi Selatan dalam bentuk penyelidakan dan penyidikan, serta Sidang Komisi Kode Etik Polri bagi pelaku anggota Kepolisian. Sementra faktor-faktor yang menjadi penghambat dalam perlindungan hukum terhadap wartawan yang menjadi korban kekerasan dalam menjalankan tugas meliput berita adalah: (1) faktor internal, berasal dari dalam diri wartawan sendiri seperti masih kurangnya pemahaman dan kesadaran hukum yang dimiliki oleh wartawan yang bersangkutan, (2) faktor eksternal, berasal dari luar diri wartawan seperti adanya bujukan, ancaman kekerasan baik fisik maupun psikis dari pelaku, dan aparat Kepolisian kadang tidak memproses laporan kekerasan yang dialami oleh wartawan. This study aims to identify and analyze the implementation of legal protection and the factors that become obstacles in legal protection for journalists who are victims of violence in carrying out their duties to cover news. This research is a normative-empirical research with a qualitative approach that was conducted at the Makassar Independent Journalist Alliance Office, the Makassar Press Legal Aid Institute and the South Sulawesi Regional Police. The methods used are library research, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that the implementation of legal protection for journalists who are victims of violence in carrying out their duties covering news is carried out in the form of (1) legal remedies for journalists' organizations are carried out by establishing coordination and communication with the Makassar Press Legal Aid Institute, (2) legal remedies for the Press Legal Aid Institute with preventive steps in the form of workshops and discussions, repressive steps in the form of receiving reports, collecting through investigations and submitting reports to the Police, (3) legal efforts carried out by the South Sulawesi Regional Police in the form of investigations and investigations, as well as the National Police Code of Ethics Commission Session for perpetrators Police member. While the factors that become obstacles in the legal protection of journalists who are victims of violence in carrying out their duties covering news are: (1) internal factors, originating from within the journalists themselves such as the lack of legal understanding and awareness possessed by the journalist concerned, (2) external factors, originating from outside the journalists such as persuasion, threats of violence both physical and psychological from the perpetrators, and the Police sometimes do not process reports of violence experienced by journalists.]]>
