PENERAPAN PETA PIKIRAN MELALUI PENGAMATAN OBJEK SECARA LANGSUNG DALAM MENINGKATKAN PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS TEKS LAPORAN HASIL OBSERVASI PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VIII MTS NEGERI 1 BALIKPAPAN

This research was carried out with the following objectives, namely first, to describe the learning achievements of writing elements in report texts resulting from observations of class VIII students at MTs Negeri 1 Balikpapan before applying mind maps through direct observation of objects. Second, to describe the achievement of skills in the elements of writing report texts based on observations. Class VIII students at MTs Negeri 1 Balikpapan after applying the Mind Map model through. The research subjects were 31 students in class VIII-8. This type of research is qualitative research. The research method applied is qualitative description. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded as follows: There is a difference in the achievement of text writing skills as a result of observations at two meetings, namely, the first meeting, the achievement of report text writing skills as a result of observations of class VIII students at MTs Negeri 1 Balikpapan before applying the mind map technique through observing objects directly. immediately only got the lowest score of 63 with poor qualifications, and the highest score was only 89 with good qualifications. Meanwhile, during the second meeting, the skills in producing report texts resulting from observations of class VIII students at MTs Negeri 1 Balikpapan increased. This is indicated by the percentage of score obtained from the average statistical value of writing learning of 77.1%, an increase in the score obtained at the second meeting to 87.03%. Apart from that, after applying the mind map through direct observation of objects, learning achievement was at the lowest score of 82 with good qualifications and the highest score of 97 with very good qualifications. So that the qualification for low marks was no longer found in learning to write observation texts at the second meeting. So the learning achievements are in accordance with the target criteria for achieving learning objectives (KKTP) in learning the skill of writing observation report text, namely a minimum score of 81. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan sebagai berikut, yakni pertama, mendeskripsikan pencapaian pembelajaran elemen menulis pada teks laporan hasil oservasi peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Negeri 1 Balikpapan sebelum diterapkannya peta pikiran melalui pengamatan objek secara langsung, Kedua, mendeskripsikan pencapaian keterampilan elemen menulis teks laporan hasil observasi peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Negeri 1 Balikpapan sesudah diterapkan model Peta Pikiran melalui. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas VIII-8 yang berjumlah 31 peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah deskripsi kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut : Adanya perbedaan pencapaian keterampilan menulis teks hasil observasi pada dua kali pertemuan yakni, pertemuan pertama, keterampilan pencapaian menulis teks laporan hasil observasi peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Negeri 1 Balikpapan sebelum diterapkan teknik peta pikiran melalui pengamatan objek secara langsung hanya memperoleh nilai pada nilai terendah 63 dengan kualifikasi kurang, dan nilai tertingginya hanya memperoleh nilai 89 dengan kualifikasi baik. Sedangkan, pembelajaran pada pertemuan kedua, keterampilan memproduksi teks laporan hasil observasi peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Negeri 1 Balikpapan mengalami peningkatan . Hal ini ditandai dengan persentase perolehan skor hasil nilai statistik rata-rata pembelajaran menulis 77,1 % meningkat perolehan nilainya pada perrtemuan II menjadi 87,03 %. Selain itu setelah diterapkannya peta pikiran melalui pengamatan objek secara langsung, capaian pembelajaran berada pada nilai terendahnya 82 dengan kualifikasi baik dan nilai tertinggi 97 dengan kualifikasi sangat baik . Sehingga kualifikasi nilai kurang tidak ditemui lagi pada pembelajaran menulis teks observasi di pertemuan kedua. Jadi capaian pembelajaran telah sesuai dengan target kriteria ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran (KKTP) pada pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks laporan hasil observasi yakni minimal nilai 81.
