SIFAT FISIKA TANAH LAPISAN ACROTELM DAN CATOTELM PADA TIGA PENGGUNAAN LAHAN GAMBUT DI KABUPATEN KUBU RAYA

Abstract

The research aims to determine the physical properties of peat soil in the acrotelm and catotelm layers, on 3 lands, namely Secondary Forest (HS), Palm Oil Plantation (KS) and Horticultural Plantation (KH), in Kuala Dua Village, Sungai Raya District, which took place in July -November 2022. Research parameters: BI, Subsidence, BJ, Total porosity, Peat maturity, Permeability, C-organic, and C/N Ratio. The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA and DMRT Test. The research results show that the depth of the KS peat is 1,152 cm, HS 964 cm and KH 174 cm. The highest average groundwater level is at HS 30.16 cm and the shallowest is at KS 5.44 cm. Observations of water content in field conditions were carried out for 8 weeks, with an average of KS 67.25% Vol, HS 66% Vol and KH 66% Vol. KS land experienced subsidence of 1.70 cm for 16 weeks, KH land of 1.17 cm for 16 weeks, while HS did not experience subsidence. The BI value tended to be higher in the Acrotelm layer with an average value of 0.23, while the Catotelm layer had an average BI value of 0.22 for the three land uses. The bulk weight in the KS>KH>HS land in the Acrotelm layer, however, has no real effect, but in the Catotelm layer it has a real effect. The porosity in the three land uses is not significantly different, where the porosity in the Acrotelm and Catotelm layers on HS>KH>KS land, this is due to the C-organic content on HS>KH>KH land. The permeability rate in the three fields in the Acrotelm and Catotelm layers on the KS>HS>KH land, this is due to the organic C content and C/N ratio on the HS>KH>KS land. Keywords: Acrotelm, Catotelm, Land Use Change, Peat, Physics. INTISARIPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui Sifat Fisika Tanah Gambut di Lapisan Acrotelm dan Catotelm, pada 3 lahan yaitu Hutan Sekunder(HS), Kebun Sawit(KS)  dan Kebun Hortikultura(KH), di Desa Kuala Dua, Kecamatan Sungai Raya, yang berlangsung pada bulan Juli-November  2022. Parameter penelitian: BI, Subsiden, BJ, Porositas  total, Kematangan gambut, Permeabilitas, C-organik, dan C/N Rasio. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan ANOVA dan Uji DMRT. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedalaman gambut KS  1.152 cm, HS 964 cm dan KH 174 cm. Rata-rata tinggi muka air tanah tertinggi terdapat pada HS 30,16 cm dan yang paling dangkal terdapat pada KS  5,44 cm. Pengamatan kadar air kondisi lapangan dilakukan selama 8 minggu, dengan rata-rata pada KS  67,25%Vol, HS 66%Vol dan KH 66%Vol. Lahan KS mengalami subsidensi  sebesar 1,70 cm selama 16 minggu, lahan KH sebesar 1,17 cm selama 16 minggu, sedangkan HS  tidak terjadi subsidensi. Kecenderungan nilai BI  lebih tinggi pada lapisan Acrotelm dengan nilai rata-rata 0,23 sedangkan lapisan Catotelm nilai rata-rata BI 0,22 pada ketiga penggunaan lahan. Bobot isi  pada lahan KS>KH>HS di lapisan Acrotelm akan tetapi tidak berpengaruh  nyata, namun pada lapisan Catotelm berpengaruh nyata. Porositas pada tiga penggunaan lahan tidak berbeda nyata, dimana porositas di lapisan Acrotelm dan Catotelm pada lahan HS>KH>KS, hal ini disebabkan karena kandungan C-organik pada lahan HS>KH>KH. Laju permeabilitas  pada tiga lahan di lapisan Acrotelm dan Catotelm pada lahan KS>HS>KH, hal ini disebabkan karena  kandungan C-organik dan C/N Rasio pada lahan HS>KH>KS. Kata Kunci : Acrotelm, Catotelm, Alih Fungsi Lahan, Gambut, Fisika.
