MEDIA FILM ANIMASI BERMUATAN NILAI-NILAI KARAKTER SEBAGAI UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERCERITA SISWA KELAS VII A SMP NEGERI 3 MANDIRAJA KABUPATEN BANJAERNEGARA TAHUN PELAJA-RAN 2018/2019

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu memanfaatkan film animasi yang bermuatan nilai-nilai karakter sebagai upaya meningkatkan keterampilan bercerita serta mengubah perilaku dalam mengikuti pembelajaran keterampilan bercerita pada siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 3 Mandiraja. Subjek penelitian ini dalah Guru dan siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 3 Mandiraja. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes dan nontes. Instrumen tes berupa nilai praktik bercerita Siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 3 Mandiraja, sedangkan instrumen non tes adalah hasil observasi selama pembelajaran, hasil wawancara dengan siswa/guru, jurnal siswa, dan hasil dokumentasi berupa foto selama proses pembelajaran. Indikator ketercapaian yaitu 75%, prosedur penelitian meliputi persiapan, survei awal, pelaksanaan siklus, pengamatan, dan pelaporan. Hasil yang didapat dalam penelitian ini yaitu (1) nilai rata-rata keterampilan bercerita pada siklus 1 sebesar 61% dan siklus 2 sebesar 75,23%, sehingga nilai rata-rata keterampilan bercerita pada siklus 2 meningkat sebesar 14.23% dari siklus, dan (2) perilaku siswa mengalami perubahan ke arah positif setelah mengikuti pembelajaran bercerita menggunakan media film animasi bermuatan nilai-nilai karakter. Kata kunci: keterampilan bercerita, media film animasi, dan nilai-nilai karakter Abstract The purpose of this research is to utilize animated films containing character values as an effort to improve the story-retelling skills and change the learning attitudes of Seventh Grade Students of State Junior High School 3 Mandiraja, Banjarnegara Regency. The research subjects were the teachers and Seventh Grade students of State Junior High School 3 Mandiraja, Banjarnegara. The data was collected using both test and non-test instruments. The test instrument was in the form of students’ story-retelling practice scores, while the non-test instrument was in the form of observations, interviews with students and teachers, students’ learning journals, and photograph documentations during the learning processes. The success achievement indicator was 75%, while the research procedures included preparation, initial survey, cycle implementation, observation, and report. The research results showed that (1) the average score of students’ story-retelling skills in the first cycle was 61% and that in the second cycle was 75.23% that the average score of students’ story-telling skills in the second cycle increased by 14.23% from the previous cycle; and (2) the students’ learning attitudes positively changed after joining the story-telling learning using the animated film media containing character values.
