<![CDATA[Abstract. Research carried out at the Secretariat of the Natuna Islands Area with the aim to find out theinfluence of the ability and commitment to employee motivation and performance.The type of data inthis study consists of primary data and secondary data collection technique using a detailedquestionnaire and interview. As for the population in this study consisted of 153 people while thesample as much as 111 people selected by cluster sampling and the sampling purpossive. Analysis toolused is fath analysis using program SPSS 17 for windows.he results showed that the ability of a positiveand significant effect against the motivation, commitment and significant positive effect againstmotivation.
