Urgensi Kepemimpinan Transformatif Bagi Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi

The  globalization  era  has  given  a  consequence  of massive changes  in  people’s  life  including  the  university  organization.  The increasing of information technology and the rapid fow of information make  the  university  library  as  an  information  center  and  knowledge undergoes  various  changes  in  the  role  and  functions.  At  such circumstances, the role of the leadership of the university library should have a clear vision for the challenges that occur. The quality of a leader in the process of ongoing changes should have a future-oriented. Libraries as a nonproft organization cannot avoid the changes, the presence of the development of information technology is a major external impact will change  the  elements  of  the  organization’s  library. Each  organization has  diferent  targets  to meet  the  needs  and  the  dominant  factor  that encourage the changes.
