ABSTRAKSistem Informasi Geografis adalah suatu sistem informasi yang digunakan untuk memasukan, menyimpan, memanggil kembali, menggolah, menganalisa, dan menghasilkan data prefrensi geografis atau geospatial, untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan dalam suatu perencanaan.Media pencarian kost merupakan media bagi paracalon mahasiswa yang akan menuntut ilmu di PerguruanTinggi Wilayah Malang ntukmendapatkan informasi mengenai rumah kost.  Seperti yang kita ketahui banyak mahasiswa yang berasal dari luar wilayah Malang, sehingga diperlukan informasi kost yang dapat diakses secara  online. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada, saya merancang sebuah “Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) Pencarian Kost Sekitar Kampus Wilayah Malang”.Dengan tujuan memanfaatkan teknologi Sistem Informasi Geografis dan  Google Mapssehingga dapat membantu para calon mahasiswa baru yang sedang mencari informasi kost dengan lebih mudah. Namun, web tersebut belum mencapai kesempurnaan dan keterbatasan sajian informasi.Kata Kunci : SIG, Sistem Informasi Geografis, Pencarian Kost, Dekat Kampus, Wilayah Malang.ABSTRACTGeographic Information System (GIS) is an information system that used for enter, store, update, manipulate, analyze, and display all forms of geographichally referenced information to carry as a decision maker to make decision of a planing.Boarding house search media is a media for students that will study in universities around the Malang region to get information about boarding house. As we know, there were students that come from outer region, so this boarding house information that can be access online is needed. Based on that case, I created “Geographic Information System (GIS) Boarding House Search Around the Malang Region  Web  based”. With the purpose to exploit Geographic Informaation System and Google Maps, so that help students get information about boarding house easily.
